Opportunities
ENGL 3170 is an exciting opportunity for UCCS students to take a peek at the editing and publishing process involved in the creation of a journal. Doing all of this in one semester might seem overwhelming, but don’t worry! The class is split into several committees to share the workload. For instance, selection committees divide the genre categories of the journal by group while semester-long committees focus on one element of the journal’s upkeep such as design, radio, marketing, and website maintenance. Each committee then works together to create the riverrun journal.
If you are a UCCS student or alumni, you are eligible to submit your work to the riverrun Journal! You can submit fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and visual art, and you can submit multiple pieces to each genre! If you have something you want to say or a story to share, this is your creative place to submit. If you wish to submit, click the red “Submissions” button at the top right of this page, scroll to the bottom, and hit “Submit Here”. Submissions are open once a year; Submissions for 2026 are closed, but come back in 2027 and keep an eye out for the deadline.
